I was much the same way years ago with subscriptions to Guns and Ammo, Shooting Times, Guns, American Handgunner, Gun World, Combat Handguns, SWAT, Soldier of Fortune, American Rifleman, and Shotgun News. So one day I decided to start going through them (took quite awhile doing a few boxes at a time), and if they had something in them that interested me, I would save it. The rest I boxed up and gave them to a friend of mine who loved to read anything about guns but couldn't afford magazines.
Then when I moved a few years ago I went through my remaining magazines and got rid of a bunch more. Nowadays I don't subscribe to any of them and only on a rare occasion will I go to Barnes and Noble to look for something like Small Arms Review and buy it if there's something in it worth having.
