Guns/ammo pulled before election day

I noticed something similar here back in March when the whole covid crap started.
All of the guns were gone from the display cases, I asked an associate what was going on and he said they were just being safe!
I haven't been there in the last few weeks so I don't know if they have removed any guns yet.

That news--that Walmart Conceals the ammo & guns and still sells, If Avail--came out yesterday.
dogtown tom just said that Walmart reversed their "lawyer decision".

-------But do the flippers still use > apps < to learn when ammo Deliveries are scheduled to a given store, as happened after Newtown?

Went by local Walmart to pick up an order over lunch. They had 22 value packs pretty reliably so I thought I would pick one up to plink over the weekend.

The sporting good section was empty. All shotguns, rifles and ammo was gone. Asked the kid nearby, he said he didn't have any 22s right now and that they made the call to lock up all guns and ammo ahead of the election to avoid any issues.

It's prudent, but I'm curious if anyone else has noticed this in their area. This is a medium sized city. It did suffering looting and rioting in June. Windows were smashed out.
Yes....local sporting goods stores have pulled powder, primers, pistol ammo, and 223

Precisely. Just showing the fallacy of Hartkopf and Duke Connor's posts.

You can bet the move back to the shelves will be slower than pulling them was.

The looters now get all the time they need. Police can stop the looting at a building or two but once the volume of thieves overwhelms the police, they will be forced to stand by and watch. I’m not saying they have the ability to crack a safe but they’ll have plenty of time to try.

Makes me think maybe they "Walmart" think sleepy Joe is going to lose, cause if that happens you know there will be civil unrest.

I was in our local Bass Pro Shop Thursday afternoon this week. I took a routine browsing stroll upstairs after checking in at the online orders / returns counter while they fetched my online order package from the place always referred to as "in the back". There was the largest selection and quantity of 1 lb containers of smokeless powder I'd seen since late May, no primers with the inside joke sign to inquire about primers at the (never staffed when I've ever been there) knife counter, not unreasonable amount of component bullets and such like readily available on the shelves for customers to take to the checkout registers below. So I haven't seen that sporting goods store locking up ammunition or components yet (beyond the primers sign that was there during my prior trip there as well).

''Wallyworld returning guns and ammo to shelves.''

OH NO!!!

They WILL move the fire water // all beer wines pkg liquor // to the dreaded 'back:scrutiny: room' then? Hammers? Kitchen knives, screwdrivers? Shurikens er, excuse me,saw blades?

Sounds like to me, an alleged abundance of caution was a drop or two of :what:panic.

All jokes aside, I had to go there (<gag>) yesterday so I strolled thru the sporting goo...BOOM. More shotgun shells (Win AA party paks) on the shelves then I've seen in MONTHS. Some other shotgun shells. Waterfowl shells. Rifle ammo in display case, including popular former and current :scrutiny:MILITARY cartridges :scrutiny:i.e. 308, 30-06, 270, others.

Wonder if there will be a 'tactical move' of long guns to the glass cases today? Radios are blasting, ''is the coast clear?'' ''clear'' ''MOVING''

One aisle at a time? Two? Halloween:evil: costumes?

If you have ZERO confidence in you local government's ability or intent to protect you and your property... the decision to get defensive and remove high interest from the shelves is not unreasonable... in my view. What actually needs to happen is for voters in those places to do something about the folks in elected positions who have utterly failed in their duty to the public..

For those who live in places where the above situation has been in place for some years... you have my sympathies... People generally get the government they deserve....
