This isn't pre y2k. Just saying...Be a lot more effective if they gave the guns and ammo to the greeters and stockers and had them stand in front of the store. But I guess that makes too much sense.

You highly overestimate the gun savvy of the typical Walmart Associate. I work there, I don't think it would be a good idea. .Be a lot more effective if they gave the guns and ammo to the greeters and stockers and had them stand in front of the store. But I guess that makes too much sense.
Ok so the looters have been warned!
The most valuable items, that criminals really want, are in the back!
They'd better bring a blowtorch, or be willing to threaten the life of the keyholder for the gun/ammo lockup, if they find who that is.
No, it would be racist and offensive in our current climate. Let's hope there really is climate change.Be a lot more effective if they gave the guns and ammo to the greeters and stockers and had them stand in front of the store. But I guess that makes too much sense.
Yes....local sporting goods stores have pulled powder, primers, pistol ammo, and 223Went by local Walmart to pick up an order over lunch. They had 22 value packs pretty reliably so I thought I would pick one up to plink over the weekend.
The sporting good section was empty. All shotguns, rifles and ammo was gone. Asked the kid nearby, he said he didn't have any 22s right now and that they made the call to lock up all guns and ammo ahead of the election to avoid any issues.
It's prudent, but I'm curious if anyone else has noticed this in their area. This is a medium sized city. It did suffering looting and rioting in June. Windows were smashed out.
Too time consuming. The looters want to be in and out in seconds with lightweight/high value items.
Precisely. Just showing the fallacy of Hartkopf and Duke Connor's posts.
You can bet the move back to the shelves will be slower than pulling them was.
You saved a kitten today.Great ! I step into one 5 days a week, although I called in sick today.
Nope. They are already putting guns and ammo back on the shelves and display cases claiming unrest was "isolated" - https://apnews.com/article/philadelphia-6ad4a576a2d869ec775dfd5052e9182bYou can bet the move back to the shelves will be slower than pulling them was.
