Guns in no registration states

In the history of all the guns in the world how many times has this ever been an issue anywhere?

I’ve bought a handful of guns from random people. I have emails, text messages, armslist postings, etc that could show who I purchased the gun from and when. How would the police ever tie some random crime to a gun I bought to me? Worse case scenario the gun is confiscated by the police.

I did actually purchase an S&W model 19 at a local pawnshop that was likely used in a crime. Finish was poor and it had a number that may have been a file number or evidence number electropenciled near the muzzle. Looked much the worse for wear, but was a good shooter. Someone else made me an offer I couldn't refuse. It had been purchased on line by a local court security officer, who consigned to FFL pawnshop as he was disappointed at condition.

I've bought quite few used cars over the years. All were registered prior to and after my purchase, but I have no idea how many were involved in hit & runs, vehicular homicides, or drug deals prior to me owning them.

In states where there is no gun registration and guns are sold every day legally without an FFL like on armslist, here and many other sites. I always wondered how many guns out there in those free states have bodies on them? It might be surpising...
I have never heard the term body on guns, is this something you made up?

I would wage if you live in an old, old house there's a good chance someone died in it. I had a home built in the 1800s, I don't worry about it, and I don't worry if own a gun that took a life. I'm sure some of the guns I have from military use have killed people, but that's history, good or bad it's history.
Talking about body count sounds like a gamer talking to his buddies.
