can any of you folks help me locate a H&G #68 SWC or clone? I’m m a sucker for a good semi wad cutter in 45acp.
Thanks!
Thanks!
BulletsBullets or mold?
Well at standard 45 velocities & pressures I didn’t think it would matter to terribly much."#68 very popular bullet. Bullet mould has many variations from standard. Special Weights include: 219gr, 232gr, 231gr,239gr. #68 most common in 4 cavity. Made in Plain & Bevel base."
I like the bevel base in the Lyman 200 gr lswc. The base of the bullet is deformed less on firing, best accuracy. Plus its easier to load.

The next question- What BHN hardness. 12 or 18 BHN?
Then there is lubed or coated bullets.

I linked to the 12 BHN Missouri Bullets offering above. They also have them stay in coated too.Well at standard 45 velocities & pressures I didn’t think it would matter to terribly much.
Lube is fine as long as it’s in the groove not the box. I have been looking into coated .
Thanks.

Nice looking bullet but kinda steep for 500Matt's Bullets has a 200gr SWC that seems to have a flat base.
