H&k Mp5

gunbroker.com usually has a few H&K-94's for sale, they certainly don't come cheap though.

If you want to an MP5 civilian style gun you can save money by going for one of the clones. However stay well away from Vulcan at all costs!

And stay away from these also....

Basically stay away from anything connected to Todd Bailey, been down that road before also, never again!

If you don't mind waiting, I'd get one from these guys. It'll be a little bit before they hit the market, but they are top end manufacturers, and from what I've read it looks like their final products will be AT LEAST as good as the H&K pieces which inspired them. I plan on waiting on some user reviews before picking one up though, just to be safe

The HK 9mm rifle market is tight at this time , we will be stocking the MK rifle in August or Sept 2008 when the start to ship, our price will be below $2200 .

unless I was only seeing what I was wishing I'd see, the GSG model came in at $500. If you're looking for something sweet but without the paying of 2000 bucks, I say give that a look. Thats a great deal when you consider the prices of other models, high-end or not.

I will be dif looking at the MK if anybody knows anything else about them other that what is on their Web let me know.

We will be posting updated MK info on our web site in mid Feb , pictures ,specs etc, the rifles are expected to start to ship mid to late summer 2008.

Just a thought.

Well, since I am not the US I can not contribute to the thread much. However, I have had many MP5s including MP5K and the local made even smaller ones named PK06. I consider it good weapon, but when you take the select fire option out, it is just a BIG 9mm/45 pistol!

Why would want to have a pistol so big. Mag cap? Well I rather go with Glock 17/19/26 and buy couple of 31 round mags. Smaller then MP5 and same cap.

If you want to go with select fire version then every one has their own opinion on the matter. I personally prefer only MP5K or PK06 in the series nothing else since they are too big for the fire power, when you can get Glock 18c in 9x19, or Stichken APS in 9x18- both awesome select fire weapons, much smaller than the smallest MP5.

Yeah glocks are cool. But I'd rather have an MP5 type platform than a pistol anyday. Better accuracy and velocity typically means better shot placement for the average shooter. Not that I would consider carrying around a concealed MP5, but at the same time I wont carry around a glock with a 31 round magazine either. They each have their place.

There are so many "tacticool" alternatives out there for me to consider buying a "mock" of this would be a hard sell. But it is kind of neat. The price $ tag would need to be well under $2000 for me to consider it.

:)

This may not necessarily be true anymore. I bought a Coharie Arms CA94 off of gunbroker about a year ago and I've been pretty happy with it. I only run Blazer through it because I'm too cheap to shoot anything more expensive despite the printed warning to not use it. It has run perfectly, without a single failure of any kind that I can remember. The only issue that I've got with it is that the magazine release seems a little stiff. My wife has a much easier time with it than I do for some reason.

I paid about $1125 or so shipped for it.

I have shot the mp5 in 10 mm and feel that would be the best route to follow if someone was bringing a new model to the market. My friends who have used the 10mm version in harms way call it the near perfect urban combat gun, far exceeding the M4 in real world effects on live bodies.

if you have to have one now, i personally have the coharie 89ful-size.

works great so far. not one hickup, however only fired about 60 rounds out of it.

i dont expect there to be any problems, its a solid gun.

MP5 search on gunbroker should get you a half-dozen hits for them.

mine has the same problem. working the mag out with the paddle-release is a little iffy...

^^^^^this looks amazing... if all the furniture fits, i would love to have one^^^^^

We expect to see the GSG 5 rifles in a few weeks so far the intrest & orders has been huge. Coharie is owned & operated by the famous Todd Bailey/Special Weapons so do your homework before you buy.

Look into Coharie Arms. They are very sweet, if you want one in .357SIG, .40S&W, or 10mm as well.

Just curious how this assessment is being made when the company doesn't have a firearm in production?

+1 on 10mm. Bigger gun than a pistol would make it easier to handle the 10mm round. 10mm magazine capacity has better potential than 45ACP.
