My dealer just called and said he could get some H&K P7 PSP pistols. I'm interested but don't know that much about it. Worth a call back?

NEVER MIND HE WAS CONFUSED ON P7 AND P8 THEY ARE P7'S

Are you looking for info on P7's? (sorry can't quite tell from the edit)

Check out hkpro.com and parkcitiestactical.com, both are HK oriented sites and both have a lot of info on the P7. In short, they are fairly unique in their actions. As with any gun, some love and some hate.

I personally love them.

Available

While I was at my dealer's this afternoon she got a call from one of her distributors, and she was talking to him about the P7's. When she got off the phone she told me that there was a big shipment that came in, and they have several "grades" available. She has gotten calls from multiple distributors so apparently there are quite a few available.

Thanks for the fix and the responses. I did a search for the P8 because I hadn't heard anything about that one. When he called back and said he made a mistake about the designation and they were P7's, I knew I could find info on those.
Sorry for the confusion, but when I came across a designation I had never heard of, I thought of asking here.

I wouldn't mind adding an PSP to my collection...just understand it utilizes the Euro style mag release on the bottom of the mag/grip & from what I recall, mags are tough to find too.

I've noticed these things are for sale lately on nearly every forum. At $900 for a PSP, and $1200-2000 for a P7M8, think I'll pass:uhoh:

The newest batch is priced from $500 to $750 or so. A good deal if anyone ever wanted one. Some are showing up in very, very good condition.

I asked my dealer to get it!

It's supposed to be a grade one. If I don't like it, he'll just put it in the counter. I've got a good dealer:)

For anyone in california who was hoping to get one, like me, be aware that they will not ship these to california.

FYI--CDNN also has PSP trade-in mags in stock on their website for $39--well below the going rate of $60+

and then they were gone:

"We sincerely apologize for this inconvenience. Unfortunately we have sold
out of the HK P7PSP Mags that you have ordered. At this time I will VOID
the order, your card was charged but will be promptly credited. Thanks for
your interest in cdnnsports.com. We do appreciate your business!!

Thanks,

Thought I'd reply. I recieved 2 grade "A" pistols today. Bought from the site I linked above ( http://onpointsupply.com/cart.php?target=search&substring=hk+p7+psp .) IMO despite being labeled grade "A", they fit the grade B description. --Lots of blueing wear--probably 15%+ gone/rubbed off of the flats, 85%+ off of all the edges and sights, but no scratches/dents/etc--perfect candidate for hard-chroming. Overall, I'm happy with the purchase. FYI---If these are your 1st/only P7s, be aware that (mine at least) didn't come with the scraper and brush tools (necessary to clean P7s) So plan to buy 1 of each.

I also bought a grade B pistol...will pick up probably next Monday. I'll give a mini-review/comparison then if anyone's interested.

Grade A at Sportingarms.com

I was up at http://www.sportingarms.com in Lewisville, TX (DFW Metroplex) yesterday. They had two of the Grade A P7's with a price of $722, and they looked perfect to me with the exception of just a very light showing of wear at the muzzle. I had to remove my glasses in order to see any wear at all.

She had another one from CDNN that a customer had ordered and she let me look at it too. It was also a Grade A, and I couldn't see any difference between it and the two she had. By the time the customer pays the transfer fee, they could have bought it directly from Sportingarms.

When I picked up my P7M8 Jubilee, she was on the phone and I was looking at her inventory. I found a couple of P7 PSP's that appeared to be NIB. So I bought one of those, but paid more than $722 for it. I've shot it quite a bit, but never shot the P7M8.

Thanks to this thread, I ordered a "Grade A" P7 from CDNN last week. Always wanted one of these, and this was my chance to pick one up for a mere arm or leg.

Right now, I'm out of state and can't wait till I get my greedy mitts on that H&K.
