H&K USP Barrel Swap???

I have a H&K USP .40 which I am thinking about upgrading in increments to have features similar to the USP Tactical. Many of my questions have already been answered, sights, amb dex safety, etc. However, I was looking into whether or not I could, without disaster, swap the stock barrel with a threaded 4.9" USP Tactical barrel. It looks pretty straightforward, but the last thing I need is an exploding weapon prompting me to devise a clever new way to play guitar and write left handed. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The barrel swap is just a "drop in" upgrade. Just swap them out. The only thing you might want to watch for is to make sure that the barrel opening on the front of the slide is completely deburred, because if there is a sharp edge there (which more than likely there is not), it will chew up the rubber O-ring that is on the threaded barrel.
