I finally got my 622 out of lay-a-way. It took far too long (since Dec. 17) because of Christmas and an unexpected dental bill . I took it, looked it over and oiled it and off to the range we went.
I sat at the 15 yard (optimistic) station loaded it and fired for effect.... my groups (3") were going to the right about 2" and 3" low with a 6 O ' clock hold. I thought maybe it was how I held the small grips then I realized that the front sight was canted to the left!!! I did not have my usual range bag with me (with the needlenose pliers) so I shot it using Kentucky windage. The DA pull was about 15 lbs and the SA is at 5 lbs but manageable.
I shot about 75 rounds until the wind started to kick up (a cool front came through) and a group of 5 gangbangers came up to the 25 yard line with a pair of High Points. The young folks had a very cavalier attitude about range safety save one that had a bullet proof vest on . My guess is he knows how his buddys shoot and I took it as a sign to vacate.
As for the H&R 622, I went home and cleaned it, corrected the front sight (at least it looks straight) and put it in my range bag for the next trip.
Here's a pic.
