Hi guys - I'm new here, and found this thread describing the same problem I'm having with my HR 949. I've replaced the cylinder, mainspring and the cylinder stop and I still have trouble with the cylinder not always turning in single action mode—or at least not moving all the way to the next firing position. I'm now suspecting inadequate spring pressure on the hand, but have no way to measure it. With the cylinder out, I can hold a fingertip over the hand's slot, and feel no pressure when the hammer is cocked. Does that indicate a bad spring? I'm, not a gunsmith, so please don't assume I know anything about gun repair. Over the years, a couple of local gunsmiths have taken a stab at it, but neither solved the problem.
