It is from Hungary. It seems to be commonly known (at least on the web) as a "Frommer Stop Pistol" Here is some more info and pictures: http://sunblest.net/gun/FromStop.htm


In good shape they seem to be going for $150-250 from just the quick searches that I did, but I'm no authority. Thanks for sharing it! I'm not sure I've ran across one before.

The transparent grips are not factory, of course. Perhaps a GI who seized it from a POW made them out of a broken aircraft canopy and put pictures of his girlfriend or favorite actress under them.
