It would be my carry gun. A stainless Colt Series 80 Govt. Model with a Smith & Alexander flat mainspring housing with lanyard loop, and Novak tritium 3 dot sights. I carry it concealed but would also feel comfortable using it in practically any situation where I would need a sidearm.

i would have to say my .357 ruger gp100....3 inch half shroud...stoked with .38 special gold dots...

Ideally, I'd like to be carrying this:

But If it HAD to be a handgun, I'd want the one I've trusted and carried nearly every day for several years now:

Thats a tuff one, it would have to be a gun that could take a beating and still fire everytime. In my experince, an M9/Beretta 92 wont feed if you get alittle bit of dirt in a mag, so thats out.

My full size USP .45 or my 226 i guess.

Lets face it, if I knew I was going to be in a fight for my life this afternoon I'd want my Witness 10mm with all sixteen rounds of double tap ready to go. But the thing is so damn heavy and large I'd probably not have it with me so I have to say one of my tried and true 1911s full of Hornady 200gr TAP +p and all legal BS aside, my goal would be to kill each and every one of the perps with "extreme prejudice" to be sure one of them didn't do me from the ground after he was down.

I training and am most proficient with a Glock 19. So that's what I'd choose.

If I trained with another decent weapon, that would probably be my choice instead.
