LOL! It did hurt a little paying $36/k, but it's better than the $40-$50/k that I have seen recently at the gun shows. Two weeks ago I went to a Gun show, and found cases, and cases of primers, but they were all $40/k on wolf, and $50/k on CCI,Win,Fed. Same price if you bought 1k or 10k. I passed, but figured $36 was about as good as it would get for now.

What a sad state of affairs when it becomes bragging material for us to score a couple of bricks of primer & a few bullets. Little did we know last year was the good old days.

Knock on wood, but, so far, I've never paid more than $25 per k for primers. Bought 20k small rifle primers (which I use for 9mm and .223 reloading) @ around $21 per k, shipped, about two weeks ago.

I bought all I could stand the last four months in 2012 and the first one in 2013. Glad I did. While there are a couple of things I wish I had, I can at least keep shooting for a while.

I did similar but over a longer time period. I'm also glad I did because if I didn't there would be no way I could keep shooting!
