I'm interested in purchasing one of these:

I can't find one anywhere. Has anyone ever seen one being sold?

I'm looking for a 'cheap' .308 bolt action rifle with iron sights and
this definitely fits the bill. The reviews show they are pretty accurate.

Yes I have. Local gun store had one years ago (EAA import IIRC). It sat on their shelf for so long, I was going to lowball them and see if I could get it cheap just out of curiousity. Unfortunately, it was gone already. Trigger was unusually good. Other than that, it was extremely unremarkable. Should be a $250 rifle. Why would you buy that, when you can get a Savage for much less?

Have you tried asking your local gun shop? I asked my local dealer for a Saiga-12, he called a distributor, and that was it. I even got it for a better price than I could find it online. Most local dealers have a relationship with distributors, and can find about anything you want if they are willing to look.

WoW!

$569.95 to be a Guinna pig.

I don't think so!

Way too many great used Rem, Win, Sav, and Ruger .308's on the gun racks for less money.

It's not just the price, it's also curiosity. I wouldn't pay over $350 for it.
I may end up just looking for an old savage or something else w/ sights.
First I'll ask my local dealer, then go from there.

Thanks guys!

better yet, find an old remmy beater 788, in 308, that hasn't had it's trigger abused and put away wet. You will suddenly have a one hole punch bench rest capable tack driver, that you take out into the woods. Just win one on an auction site. origional mags are tough to get; not that they arent' out there, but usually you have to win them as well, and they will go for 30 to 50 bucks a piece.
The thing is; this rifle had maybe the best ever factory sights put on a rifle; full adustable humongously large fully ramped rear site, with the giant shark fin front site. Like this;

the reason these rifles were so freakin accurate, was the way the bolt was made, 9 locking lugs, plus the trigger. this trigger was so fast, and it is
adjustable a bit as well, that the lock time on this trigger, is so fast, you cannot think it , as fast as it trips. Just amazing- I have 1 in 243,
and this is the one rifle I long ago decided, I just cannot sell.
