Very few companies give dealers a price break unless they buy a very large volume. I had to buy $7,500 worth of MI sling plates to get the distributor price. I have to buy $50,000 a year in Remington parts to get the price I get, not a problem for me as I was at over $90,000.00 after the 3rd quarter, but it sure screws the small gun repair places. Colt will not even allow an ffl to buy a Colt unless they have one of every model in their shop at all time. In January 2015 Remington stopped me from buying guns. I was the highest level of Dealer, a Remington "Master Gun Shop" and could buy, Remington, DPMS, Bushmaster, H&R and Marlin from the Factory. So, they made one above me called Master Distributor and only Master Distributors can buy guns from the factory now. And that takes an initial order of $400,000.00 and maintain $1,000,000.00 in gun purchases a year. See, it is all about the Big Boxes now and screw the small shops.
I'll grab a box and try it and if I like it I may be able to get one of my distributors to do a ten case special order. They sure wouldn't do it for less then that.
