Has pop culture ever made you want a gun you never wanted before?

Every boy that watched saturday "western series" television wanted the Hubley (now Vintage) toy Colt 45 SAA in a fancy rig so they could go out and play cowboys and indians with their friends. I simpler time.

To the present: Nope, can't say any TV/movie has planted the seed to purchase any particular type/manufacturer of handgun or long gun.

Loved Quigley's rifle, but wound up buying a Browning 1885 in .270 instead. Does that count?

I'd like pop culture to influence a purchase, but it hasn't yet because I can't find the right gun.

The movie "Bad Boys" has lots of neat toys. Who doesn't want the Cobra racing down the runway at the end of the movie. Personally, I want that 4-shot derringer that the bad guy has at the end. I don't know what it is, but one day I will have one.

Haven't seen the movie but it's most likely a cop-357. HEAVY triggers I've heard.

I used to never like Glocks. Not that I hated them, but they just felt so common and bland. However after watching Sons of Anarchy, and some of the characters in that show using Glocks, it just made me want one for no apparent reason.

I am eagerly awaiting the delivery of my first Colt SAA. I figure it's all this guy's fault. :)

I still can't believe my mother saved my Hopalong Cassidy breakfast set. I found it in the cedar chest. His horse's name was Topper.

I had never heard of dissipators until i saw the borne identity, and now i have one. so maybe i was influenced by it.
