Have you ever had a rifle you didn't like?

Didn't like my FNC, too much plastic. I much preferred the G3 I carried before it.

But in truth, those weren't mine, they were issued by the army.

And now I carry a G3 again, so good things come around.

My private rifles are all nice ones.

Ruger Hawkeye. Didn't like the accuracy (factory or handholds) , the bolt seemed stiff, and I didn't care for the trigger pull. Had to bench 350 to break the sear. Rifle looked good though.

I have a semi-custom 6.5 WSSM built to my specs that I am having a terrible time warming up to. I don't know why. I have always had a fondness for .264 bores, but this one just seems to give me the cold shoulder.

How about you guys? Any other unloved rifles in your life?

I had a Ruger #1 in 25-06 the rifle was a little heavy for a hunting rifle, but the top tang safety was very easy to knock off safety. It was gone after one season.

I've had the Remington 597 and Russian SKS I complained about in this thread for almost 20 years. I decided I'm taking this Friday off of work and going to go give these two old shooters a second chance. I'm not much of a 22 LR person and but I for the last few days I figured it might be worth trying again. I also mounted a red dot on the sks. Maybe after a long time of sitting in the safe in the dark it will be different. I seem to change what I like almost as often as I change my underwear.

No change of underwear in 20 years???

I'd read Europeans wore clothes until the rotted off their bodiies during ThebDark Ages. The clothing was replaced due to decay vs wear and tear, except for the rich & fashionable I suppose.
