Bought my first new ammo in over a year. A 1000 rd case of Wolf Gold 55g 5.56 from SGammo. Fifty cents per rd. I’ve bought a lot of WG .223 in the past, but this is the first I’ve seen of 5.56.

Also stopped into Rural King looking for target shells, found none but they had some PMC Bronze .223 for $11, bought 3 just for filler. My Carlsons ported sporting clay choke tube showed up today, got a Light Modified to try

Scored an Arisaka "Type" 38 to check off one more on my milsurp "wanna" list. $500 for unsanded stock, no cracks, good bluing, all parts, no boogered screws, dirty bore with visible rifling passed "bullet test", and with dust cover even. But no mum. Not at that price, ha ha.

Got a set of XS Big Dot sights for my Ruger American compact 9mm

100 rounds 9mm Winchester 115 g. Fmj. My problem. When I find ammo it's different from the last ammo I found. Different maker, NATO, luger, hollow point, fmj, grains, made in USA or some other place in the world. I'm a firm believer in you should practice with the same ammo you will be using. ESPECIALLY if you're going to use it in your carry gun. Hard to do.

5 boxes of 325 round Federal Auto Match. $18/box at Walmart. It shoots respectably in 3 of my rifles and it used to shoot well in my MK3 pistol.
