Have you purchased anything gun related in the last three days?

I went on a bit of a spending jag this last week when I picked up a 44 Desert Eagle & then ordered a 50AE conversion kit that's scheduled to deliver today as well as 44Mag & 50AE loading dies (50 dies haven't arrived yet) brass, & bullets for both. Bought a nice case that I'm setting up as a two caliber kit & put new Hogue wrap around grips with finger grooves so I can hold onto the beast. Just confirmed it's a Mk XIX made in January 1997 , 10 years before Kahr took over.
Not to be out done Mrs Canasta bought a new Walther PPK/S that some marketing genius put a photo of Pierce Brosnan 007 with a PPK next to the gun in the display case-she "had to have it" so home it came.

it has the nice beavertail so I can shoot it without giving blood like the old models that got me every time.

I've become obsessed with LPA sights from Italy. Fiber optic, adjustable. I now have them on my competition revolvers and on my GSSF competition G17. The last set just order and will be here on Monday. Sight in on Tuesday. Will use them in competition on Thursday. OH WAIT. I need to see if them make them for the Sig P365 and P320.

Bought a bunch of reloading stuff the last few days. Pound of Accurate #5, pound of Bullseye, pound of Longshot. 300 Hornady 125 grain .355 HAP bullets, 250 Everglades 125 grain .355 JHP's, 200 Starline .38Super Comp brass, 250 Everglades .452 RNFP bullets, 100 Starline .45 Colt cases.

Not too crazy about it, but my ex brother in law needed money. He’s had a tough year. I bought his Gen 1 Springfield XDs for more than it’s probably worth. I did agree to let him buy it back if his finances recover.

The Big Brown Truck delivered 2 pounds of IMR 4198 from Powder Valley @ 6:30 this evening.
Going to give this a try in loading 45-70.
Not what I was looking for, but beggars can't be choosers in these times.

.$.0076 per grain with hazmat and shipping......OUCH! You do the math! :)

Having really enjoyed my first HK clone, the brand-new PTR-91 in .308 -
A) Five days ago ordered a small 500-rd. case of Monarch steel-cased ammo.

B) Today, after selling three thousands rds. of 9x19 mm ammo to my range buddy..
..immed order another 1,500 rds. of steel-cased .308. For me handguns aren't nearly as enjoyable to shoot as a semi-auto 7.62x39 or .308 rifle.

Whether or not the " Non-HK " rifles have a similar Violent extraction & ejection process (this can rip weak Brass cases in two, in an HK clone), I refuse to pay current prices for brass-cased .308 ammo.

Using the Ammo Seek ammo search engine, the lowest .308 is .49 or .50/rd., before the tax and shipping. Do people now think that there won't be Another ammo panic in the next few years or so?

Got my 50AE conversion kit, boxes for the reloads, 4lbs of H110, & a 50AE spring replacement kit that I got installed for upcoming range trip.

Charles Daley Tactical Shotgun. Seems to be just about "right" in form, function and quality of craftsmanship for its intended purpose. And good value! Nothing says "go away" like the sound of a shotgun being racked!

Smiles,
