Have you purchased anything gun related in the last three days?

A pair of "Firing pin Retainer pins" (roll pins in the slide) for the CZ PCR (75D).

My dry-firing wasn't very much (maybe six DA pulls every few days), but No Snap Cap or O-ring had been used., and the dry-firing had produced accumulated stress on the factory pin.
There was a tiny oval-shaped. tear in it.

The Harder, highly-recommend pins (by gun owners) from Cajun Gun Works are hollow, and CZ recommends using only hollow pins. It took about 3 min. of tapping with hammer, while getting the pin aligned, just started into the hole, then was easy.

What isn't clear after a few hours of much reading is :confused:Whether Only shooting ammo (?) , ie a thousand rds., can cause similar tears in the original CZ factory pin ...?

These stresses (holes, gashes) can result in an inop / jammed firing pin.

Note: this is Not criticism of CZ.
They produce excellent guns, and a few dollars plus a few minutes replacing the OEM with a newer Harder pin is all the 75 series needs.

The earlier Czech & Slovakian police and Army probably expected to replace the pins every 500 or so rounds. It’s very easy….

125rds of 45 ACP 185gr Golden Sabers for $118 bucks at the OKC Gun Show today.

Also got this Laser Bore Sighter kit for $200 with a majority of the rifle cartridges you could need and even some interesting ones like 7.62x54 and 270/300 Winchester Short mag, and that arbor should even work with the .535 case diameter magnum stuff like 300 PRC and 6.5 PRC. This one has a 223 laser bore sighter and the other calibers are an arbor that you put the 223 one in.

So I just tried to put the WSM arbor in my 6.5 PRC and it won't even try to go on lol. So I compared the two next to each other and yeah it's like trying to put a square peg in a round hole...

Drat... I thought it was going to be close but I didn't have any rounds at the show to compare to make sure... Well I guess that means I need a 300WSM now...

So I saw Blue Collar Reloading has some Federal Gold Medal Match 223 Remington ammo with 73gr Berger bullets, has anyone else used that stuff in particular and how does it compare to the gold standard (no pun intended, lol) 77gr Sierra MatchKing stuff?

Won't arrive for a while, but I just ordered a Bergara B14R Trainer, so I got my only planned firearm purchase for 2023 done in the first week. Since I parted with four rifles and a handgun in the last two months, I figure it's justified. :)
It's good to get goals done in a timely manner.
