Have you purchased anything gun related in the last three days?

Had a bobcat come up into the yard ”warned” him with some #7 1/2 from an old wards 12ga bolt action. I have some decent race guns but wouldn’t leave them handy in the shop, due to cost. A friend asked if his son could come over and shoot last week and had a TAR 12, lots of plastic and was really cheap. That said, the thing ran like a top and checked the boxes, so I picked one up Sat morning.

The trigger is pretty awful, looks CNC laser cut and they didn’t grind the sear, so the pull is over the jagged kerf.

I just stoned it smooth and it’s not bad for a ”beater” gun, runs just as good as the one they had over.

I keep watching You Tubes on the Phoenix HP22A and finding more cool stuff to buy for it. This time an extra power recoil spring. The factory springs are said to be somewhat weak and have to be replaced every 500 to 1000 rounds. They even sell 5-packs. This spring should last a lot longer.:

Ordered a Bond Arms 3" barrel in .30 Carbine. Just to be sure I am ready for when it is delivered I ordered 4 boxes (50 rounds each) of Precision One .30 Carbine ammo and to get free shipping added a box of Norma Range and Training FMJ .45 ACP and a box of HSM Cowboy Action .41 Rem Mag 210 Grain Semi-Wadcutter. Also got 10% off on the barrel and $5 off the ammo (two different online shops).

These few items, as well as a new pair of Realtree Edge camo pattern hunting insulated Bibs… my current very worn out pair (in advantage Timber; old fashioned “walls” brand) lasted since I was in high school…
Also just got an MTM portable shooting table… my dad has trouble shooting prone due to back trouble (and I’m getting there tbh) and I really don’t feel like sighting in the new muzzleloader and eating 100gr of BH209 recoil!from prone… so… we’ll be able to move it around pretty well I think…

I haven't bought much as far as guns n ammo this year (did a little bit) I have been focusing on getting survival and tac gear together. I have bought a lot and tried a lot of different stuff and what I have found is while everyone crazes over plate carriers I still prefer old ALICE setup or FLC Molle vest overall, lightweight and tough. All these latest tactical molle gun belts, I still think a tough as nails very adjustable Alice belt is best for me, I prefer mobility over weight especially living in a southern red state that is 90-95 degrees in summer and 80's late spring and early winter and the fact I'm not 25 years old anymore that could deal with that kind of intense heat..

Lately I have been dying some ACU pouches to make them more friendly to a green environment. These GI pouches fit GI mags perfect, fit two PMAG good, or one single 7.62/308 mag great. Also can use for M1 carbine. They are made in America government contract mil-spec not flimsy China junk but still I think the Alice M16 pouch rocks best. I also dyed some uniforms

Well technically..... went to the hardware store yesterday to get some 3mm hardware.

Couple weeks back, bought a 90deg worm drive gearmotor to replace the lackluster inline gear unit on my home made annealing machine, and needs different screws to mount.

Obviously I never make "mistakes", they are called "revisions". ;)
