About a year ago I had a fit of stupidity and sold my PT145 because I could not shoot it very accurately. What was even stupider was that I sold it to a friend who has taken every opportunity to "remind" me of what a good, reliable shooter it really was.
Last month, he got into a bind and I helped him out, so he ended up owing me some money. Well, this week, he came to me and said that he was still short on funds and asked if he could repay me by giving the PT145 back to me!
So, my little pocket rocket and I are now reunited. The best part of it is, my buddy shot the piss out of the gun while he had it and the trigger (which I never liked before and which was the cause of most of my dissatisfaction with the gun) is now as smooth as glass
I took the pistol to the range today and it shot wonderfully. I put 150 of my reloads through it along with 50 rounds of Remington UMC jhp's that were included with the gun when I got it back.
I had one light strike on one of the reloads, but I feel like the primer may not have been fully seated and it did fire on the second strike. Plus I checked all of my other spent rounds and the primer indent was nice and deep on all of them.
Last but not least, here's one of my targets from today, shot at 7 yards. Looks like I have finally learned to shoot a decent group with my PT145 after all.
