I recently acquired an Uberti .36 confederate barrel that is 5" from rear of forcing cone to the end of the muzzle. PICs below.
The left side of the round part of the barrel says, "Original HEGE-UBERTI"
Top of the round part of the barrel says. "A. UBERTI & C. GARDONE V.T. ITALY"
Above the wedge on left side it says, " Mod. 1862 REB CONF. Cal .36"
Above the wedge on right side it says, " -BLACK POWDER ONLY- "
Otherwise, there are a couple of Italian inspection type stamps.
No date code or Uberti symbol.
What is a HEGE barrel or revolver?
I placed it on it on my .36 Uberti Leech & Rigdon. It fits up nicely. The short barrel makes it much lighter with, at least to me, better balance. I have not fired it yet.
Thanks for your input,
Dan
