A guy from my neighborhood watering hole just got back from Florida...

He was a very outspoken opponent of CCW when we had the ballot here in Misery.

So I asked him how he could go to Florida, and didn't he worry about his safety when he was there? He replied that he was safe, and that everything was just fine - didn't worry at all...

So then I reminded him that FL was a "Shall Issue" state, etc...

And about five minutes later, a patron who was leaving requested an escort to her car...

Hah! I love it too. :D

"We're safe here in misery because we control guns. Err... will somebody please protect me while I go to my car?"

Missouri's biggest problem is the Jet Banks syndrome. He was an avid anti who turned out to be a criminal. Now criminals in elected positions isn't all that rare, but they make the laws. With all the ones that were term limited out the last election time will tell. Looks better that it has in a while but we still have to shove it down Holdens throat. He has so many problems that he may compromise, but what will that cost the state.

SB0083 is on the move. It has been assigned to a committee. I faxed the chairman and he emailed back that he is in complete support of CCW. There may be enough to override a veto if Holden should be so stupid. Bruce H, where are you "roughly" in North MO. I am in the Mark Twain Lake area.

Holden will veto it without hesitation. The Dems in Missouri have it all sewn up in KC, and St. Louis and will continue to push the state to be like it's East and West coast cousins.

It's shame!..We have been blasted to death to fear each other so bad.

:banghead:

i hope we stand tough and come out ahead. This is the best chance we have. as far as the ar's go were allright with them i own 2. Ronald

Rickstir Princeton. We will probably get CCW this year. Like I said Holden will compromise to get money for his favorite projects or he will be gone. It remains to be seen what it will cost the taxpayers in the long run. The legislature should have Holden by the short curlies so he has no choice. Talk to your local elected ones. Make it plain they can be replaced.
