Picked up my Hellcat today. Hope to shoot it this week. Thought I’d share some pics compared to my XD mod 2 subcompact. Last pick is both with 13 round mags. Initial thoughts are me likely.
I'm still deciding if I want to carry a sub-compact. The Hellcat is certainly a good pistol. I had to "learn"the safety trigger but that's me, not the gun. Very accurate and the sights are quick to pick up. Surprisingly the recoil is not bad. some muzzle flip, but not enough to prevent repeat shots. With either magazine it feels good in the hand and no failures in 200 rounds of FMJ and 60 rounds Golden Saber. I know everybody is going small, smaller, smallest, but I'm still carrying a CZ P-01 and in Winter a CZ 97b. I think this gun's going to be a very occasional carry when I just can't carry anything larger or for back up.
I carry a Sig p365 XL was well as the p365, and now the Hellcat, which SA did a great job in design and workmanship, the quality is excellent compared to some other small compacts, the Cat is accurate and easy to make second shots fast and controllable, it carries very much like my Sig p365's, and having 14 rounds aboard is nice in a small gun like this that fits my large hands like a glove stays put during a string of fire. congrats on yours I hope you will have the same results that I have...
My next one will probably be a larger Hellcat like the 365xl as long as SA comes out with one. I assume they will and I’m hoping it has a 15-16 rd mag option putting overall height not much more than 5”
