I bought a CETME Furniture kit from Cheaper Than Dirt today. It includes 2 buttstocks, 3 pistol grips, muzzle brake, a hand guard and various screws for attachment. Only $10.00!

I would like to install the CETME buttstock onto the PTR 91. The cheesy plastic stock just does not do it for me.

But I have 2 questions:

1. Is it even possible?

2. If it is possible, how do you go about removing the recoil spring guide rod and backplate and installing it onto the wooden furniture?

Thanks..

Do you have any idea how to remove the backplate from the buttstock? That is the metal piece that has the guide rod affixed to it.

Thanks!

You don't have to remove anything.

Just knock the two stock pins out and put your stock from CTD in its place.

To remove the metal part, you'll need to go in from the buttplate end with a long screwdriver ( a tire iron works great ).
