The Remington 1911/22 is a great plinker. It's basically a spec 1911 scaled down about 25% in size, comes factory with an arched MSH, and is tons of fun to shoot.

Now, if your definition of "plinker" can be stretched a little... 30-30 BFR

My vote would also be for the ruger MKIII or ruger 22/45. if not that then the browning buckmark.

mine has full volquartsen internals and a MKII hammer bushing, the mags drop free and the trigger is amazing. I plan on ordering the Majestic Arms target grips for it eventually

I think its great.

i know it's not a semi-auto but its still a great plinker IMO.
