Let me start by saying that I have a couple 22 LR's. I hunt with them and occasionally take them to the range, but this next one will be primarily a range gun. I'm going to put some good glass on it, maybe a bipod, etc.

All of the following are priced comparably. Here are what I've narrowed my choices down to (price helped with the narrowing):

* - CZ 452 Varmint
* - Winchester Wildcat Target/Varmint
* - Savage Model Mark II FV

I'll hang up and listen...

Also a vote for the cz. I have friends who had neevr shot before that found it simple to use and were able to produce great results right out of the box, someone like yourself with shooting experience should be very satisified

CZ is a good bet. Never seem one that wouldn't shoot. I have some buddies that run CZ rifles against my Anschutz & Vorquartsen efforts. They are NOT under-gunned.

What about this one?

I would suggest you consider the CZ 452 Varmint and Weatherby Mark XXII. Obviously the Weatherby is more expensive, but it is one 22 rifle that I think is worth the bucks.

check out the Sako Quad while you're researching too!!!

otherwise I'd say CZ, or if you want a semi then ruger

Semi doesn't matter. It's going to be a range gun, so I don't mind working the 4-speed. I haven't even looked into others like the Sako, TC or Anschutz because I figured they'd be way out on price as compared to these.

Looks like the majority goes for the CZ. I'd be interested to know if anyone else has any experience with the Savage or Winchester.

I'm a Ruger guy, so I have no experience with the three you listed, but I have never heard anyone say anything bad about any of them. The CZ is universaly praised so from your list that would probably be my choice.
