I have $400 to spend on gun accessories. I was really wanting one of the gas piston kits for my AR, but I came across a couple other options. I can get a set of the crimson trace lasergrips for my Kimber and some more spare magazines, or some nightsights, spare magazines, and spend the rest on components for ammo (I can reload for every caliber I own, except for 12 gauge and of course .22 LR). Which way would you guys go?

I know what to do with it. Send it to me and I'll see that it goes to my favorite charity. You can make it out to Citizens Association in Support of Hospitals. You don't have to use the whole name, just use the initials, C-A-S-H.

Seriously, the reloading equipment is a good idea.

Reloading equipment is a good investment these days as are high capacity mags. Night sights I find less than useful in general -- if its dark enough to really need them, how are you going to ID your target?.

Go for the piston. Turn it into something reliable. ; )

Of course, if a laser prevents you from ever having to pull the trigger, that would be priceless, as well. It has happened that in ugly situations, lasers have made perpetrators think twice about their actions, while the firearm alone did not. True, if you have your firearm out, it means that you probably need to fire, (not to be confused with the bad and/or misinterpretable advice, "If you pull, fire.") But such a real need to fire is not always the case, as no two self-defense situations are exactly alike.

Extra (full capacity mags) and ammo/reloading "stuff"....other than that, I would suggest a used Glock. As times go, the more guns the merrier.

I'm spending my $600 stimulus check on reloading supplies, Wolf 7.62x39 ammo, and XD magazines.:D Whatever is left, I'll be buying primers at the next gun show. I don't know about you guys, but I am stocking up, as we are probably headed for some dark days ahead, politically.:uhoh::mad:

laser grips are nice for point and shoot but for accuracy they don't do S#*t, the bullet only matches up with the laser at a certain distance. outside that they will always be off
