As mentioned in my other thread about the Sako V, I'm trying to identify some guns that I'm helping my Uncle sell. Another rifle that's kinda confusing me is a Remington 700. I looked it up in the Blue Book of Gun Values and there were countless variants. The one I have here has engraving on both sides of the receiver and on the (hmm. . . I can't think of what it's called), "magazine floor plate" i think. The barrel has a shiny blued finish and the stock is wood with a very glossy finish and checkering on the grip and fore end. The bolt handle is also checkered. The side of the receiver says "Model 700" and according to the barrel, it's a 243 Win. Any help would be appreciated.
