Hi... New to these forums but finding a lot of help here.

I have just got myself a 1905 1st gen 4 3/4" Colt SAA in 45colt. I am looking at getting into CAS but dont really want to use this revolver as I dont want to ruin a nice piece of history.
I am looking at getting an SAA (or clone) that would be good for CAS. I would like something that is as close to the original as possible.
Can anyone make any recommendations?

Thanks

There are all kinds of Single Action Army clones and replicas. But the first thing you need to decide is, "what are my budget limits?" This is what will frame your choice.

would like to keep it under 1K... but... i am gonna sell the Colt to pay for a coupla copies (and probably still have the cash left over for 'all the other stuff', including a nice winchester...)

American Western Arms

I am a Cowboy Action Shooter and I use a few different guns.

All of my single actions are American Western Arms SAs and I love em. Bought them all used at a local store and all are fantastic shooters and some of the smoothest guns I have ever had the pleasure to shoot. I also have a safe queen Colt revolver First Gen from 1901.

For the long gun, try Uberti! I love the 1873 rifle. Smooth action and a real mild ride.

I can also recommend the Uberti Schofields, but I dont use em in matches as it throws off my timing.

Shameless promotion off!
