Okay, realize now that the originals were two different frame sizes, (quite a bit different) between the Army and Navy models. Also that the "1858" term is relatively modern, and they were originally referred to as...wait for it....either the "Remington Army Model", .44, or "Remington Navy Model" .36 cal.
Again, I suppose an Army Model, in .36", would be one strong puppy. Probably stuff it with 4f no problem. Or not. ?? I wouldn't, just saying.
