I am requesting the help of THR with the blessing of the mods. I recently discovered an organization called Camp Patriot. These guys are in the process of building a 30,000 square foot hunting lodge in Montana that will be used to benefit wounded service members. This is a non profit orgnaization and I am not an employee. I goal of Camp Patriot is to provide wounded veterans from all of America's previous conflicts and the current one with a free one week stay. During their time at the lodge the these wounded heroes will be able to enjoy the outdoors through hunting, fishing, and hiking along with many other outdoor activities that may not otherwise be possible. I want to stress that this trip will not cost the veteran one dime and this organization wants to serve wounded veterans from not only the Global War on Terror, but all previous conflicts as well.

The problem for the organization so far is funding. In order to raise the money to build this lodge Camp Patriot is raffling off a $150,000 log cabin that can be built anywhere in the US or Canada. Tickets can be purchased through the mail or online where legal and cost $20 each. If you want to help or just learn more about the organization visit their website at www.camppatriot.org

I'm reaching out to all of our member to help these guys succeed. Wounded veterans on this site can contact me through PM or visit the site to get in touch with the organization's founder Micah Clark. This is an opportunity for all of us to make a wounded veteran's life a little bit easier. It doesn't matter whether you support the current war or not. We all have friends or relatives who have served at one time or another. Thanks for your help, THR.

Thanks BruceRDucer. These guys really need all the help they can get. When you read the messages posted on their site you will see just how desperately.

Looks like a good program. My entry is sitting in an envelope ready to mail later today.

It's worth noting the Grand and First prize of the mentioned raffle were donated by a Canadian Corporation and a Canadian Citizen respectively. That is a pretty amazing testament of the respect American Veterans have for their bravery and self sacrifice when non-American citizens and corporations pony up to help give something back for their efforts to protect freedom. The least we can do as American citizens is make this raffle a resounding success!

Take the time to read the mission statement for Camp Patriot.
