Anti-War Protests Target Wounded at Army Hospital

And the fact that not one protestor has been touched speaks volumes about the diginity and honor of the patients, staff and family members .

Yes, they have the right to protest wherever they desire. But a more appropriate place is the Capitol or White House. This is in extreme poor taste.

I don't care what they say, this is not "supporting" the troops.

How come I have not seen this in the MSM ????

That also speaks volumes......

Regardless of whether it's their right and legal, I think the wounded soldier quoted in the story said it best when he made this simple, common sense statement:

I mean Walter Reed is a sheltered environment and it needs to stay that way."
If you're really all about hating the war but "supporting our troops", how can you justify tormenting them when they're helpless and recovering from injuries?

All these people who protest for weeks on end obviously don't have jobs. Why should we listen to them?
That is always my first thought.
Don't these people work? How can they afford to take the time off to scream and cry about things for weeks on end?

+1

These "protesters" are directing their ire at the wrong people. The final culpability for the mess formerly known as Iraq lays with President Bush and his advisors, not the folks who've bleed and died doing what their nation asked them to do.

Maybe they are Trustifarians( those who put on the appearance and manners of being impoverished, but have well funded financials trusts at their disposal)?

"We know most of the George Bush supporters have never spent a day in uniform, have never been closer to a battlefield than seeing it through the television screen," Luke said.
What utter and absolute BS. I guess that explains why like 75% of the military voted for him?

Idiots. Sure, they have their right to protest, but they have no common decency at all. :barf:

I'm kind of in the same boat as flag burning on this. It's your right to do it, but it should also be the right of any veteran to beat you with no legal repercussions until it is fully extinguished. Other people can express their freedom of speech with actions as well.

Perhaps they could give the wounded at Walter Reed paintball guns and that tennis ball cannon from American Gladiators.

"George Bush kills American soldiers,"

Good lord. Using that logic, any American President/leader who has ever lost a man can be said to kill American soldiers.

What I want to do is take the anti-war protestors and ask them if they value their freedom. If they say yes, ship them to Iraq and/or Afghanistan with an M16 or M4(that's being nice, personally I'd give them plastic spoons) and let them earn it for themselves. If they say no, let them move out there.

During the eighties at Minot Airforce Base there would always be protestors outside the gates marching against nuclear weapons. One day in February the base commander told his XO that the fence looked a little dirty, and had him bring a fire truck out to wash it down with a firehose. Of course, some water traveled beyond the fence... The protest ended for the winter about twenty minutes later.
