A friend of mine brought me 3 old guns, that belonged to her father...One of which is a double-barreled .410 that was used to "put meat on the table" during the depression. It is a double barreled .410, marked "Crescent-Davis", which, I've found means it was made between 1929 (or 1930 depending on reference found) when Crescent Arms merged with xxxx Davis Co. In 1931 Crescent was bought by Savage, and apparently stopped using the Crescent name.
So I have a rough idea of date of manufacture. Its is rough shape(and not worth much), but I told her I'd clean it up, so she can display it as a family heirloom.
So, I want to clean up the metal and do a bit of refinishing on the wood, and here's my question:
How the heck do you get the forearm off?
Any help is greatly appreciated!
