Now that's some nice stuff Boocoo!
Good to hear you ordered a book that will help get a handle on your rigs.
Maybe I could request a few specific angle shots for you to share with us?
One of the wrist/comb area of the butt on both lying down. No need to zoom in for this one.
Maybe a shot of both over-all lying down as well, and one last of the muzzles of both -as in looking down the barrel.
I want to thank you for sharing these around Christmas.
These photos are a really nice gift to all of us.
Love to tell you that one gun is worth xxx on the dot.
Not making offers as you really need to contact a reputable seller in order for you to see full value on the stuff you have.
The '97s both have their minor detractions - the WWI era gun has a section of the toe missing
and the later one does have the name applied across the stock.
Just mentioning this because it will affect the value achieved.
An auction for these will be the
only way you will see full value because of the dollar amount.
Most folks who can afford these guns can't justify the added expense of flying in to examine a gun(unless they are buying both)
selling for between 6 and 8 (my estimate) like the 95xxx gun you have.
They are willing to pay that amount all right, but
only to a trusted seller where they know their money is safe. (Don't take that personal at all
)
If you are a new, un-rated seller or have a low number of sales you will
not reach the level of bidding a top seller will bring.
That's because all the bidders KNOW that these top sellers would never compromise their reputation on any one gun sale and that
the top seller would divulge any problems and accept the gun back if they are unhappy with the inspection.
Say the WWII gun sells for 7.
A 20% commission from a top seller (go check out the quality of their photos!) would be 1400, leaving you with 5600.
I just do not believe you'll get that same amount unless the buyer has some means to verify both the gun and the sale.
I realize I've gone on a bit.
You've got some really stuff that you have shared and my only intent is to see you
get the value from this nice collection.
