I've dissassembled my para ordnance 7.45 1911 and cannot re assemble it. I stripped it down to the frame and cannot get it to function properly after re assembly. I've dissassembled it many times and reassembled with no problems. I'm not sure what is wrong but the problem is the hammer will no cock. If you pull the hammer back it just snaps back. I've went through every assembly video, instrution manual, and anything else I can find and still no solutions.

I think your sear spring is trapped under the sear. The left leg of the sear spring should be resting on top of the sear when observed from the rear with the muzzle down. Have you ever disassembled the gun before this?

+1 on the sear spring.

Take the mainspring housing, and grip safety off and place the spring on top of the sear & trigger.
Then slide the mainspring housing back on just far enough to keep the spring in place.
Then put the grip & thumb safetys back and finish assembly.

It should work now.

I've double checked the sear spring placement more than once. I did it again just for good measure. But that has not solved the problem. Yes I have taken this gun apart and put it back together many times. I have a taurus pt 1911 that is almost the same and it went back together with no problem. The same goes for several other 1911's I have. I don't know what it is about this one. The hammer will not stay cocked. Its as if the sear isn't engaging. I can get it to cock and stay like that until I pull the trigger. but once I put the grip safety on I pull the hammer back and hear a very metallic click and then the hammer falls.

Well the only other thing I can think of is, you have the disconnecter in backward.

That won't be very likely on a real 1911, but might be possible on a Para.
I don't know.

Is the slanted sloping part of the disconnecter facing to the rear so the spring lief can push it up after the slide pushes it down?

The para is a series 80 1911. The disconnector is in correctly. As I said before I have other 1911's that I've disassembled and reassembled with no problem. After leaving the grip safety off I cocked the hammer and pulled the trigger. Fucntioned flawlessly. When I tried it a second time it did not and continued to malfunction.
