having read a couple threads on the subject;
i coughed up $125.00 (like an idiot) for one of the used L.E. 20 rnd. during the ban period!
then did it again when i purchased 1/2 dozen of the paper thin feed lip junk mags that were on the market at that time. these things are absolutley worthless! won't feed reliably , and on a home defense weapon you can't have that.
now the ban has been gone for some time now and the 20 rnd'ers can be had for $40.00 for the same used L.E. factory mags.
i watch the A.R. shooters and envy them ,they have all of those nice surplus mags available.:banghead:for $15.00
if your an avid mini shooter there is a solution. buy the factory 5 round mags and a few of those old junker 20 or 30 round knock offs, cut he top off the junker, square it up on the sander, take the factory mag and remove the bottom, ditto the sander thing, silver solder the two together, you can use the longer spring they seem to hold up ok , use the followers from the 5 rnd.
the nice plastic bottoms from the factory 5 rnd. can be fitted to the knock off bottom with a little work. i Dura Coated mine .
they look great and function flawlessly! i got about $25.00 tied up in them with a little sweat equity.
you can find those junkers at any of the shows for a few $
