Yeah, I have a few of the guns in question, but the Mauser seemed like the best choice. That might be wrong. I don't feel like butchering a SMLE; the ones I have, I like as-is. If I find another one that's been sporterized already, or has a beat/broken stock, rust, etc., but functions well, I'd do it for sure. I have a spare M38; that's tempting, too, but the Mauser was calling to me. Maybe I'll rummage around for a large-ring, full-length action when I get the chance.

I must confess I bought all of the rifles in the configuration that they appear in. Aside from some refinishing and scope mount work. The rifle on the bottom is a type 99 arisaka in 7.7x58
