Okay, so I'm too lazy to use an internet search engine, but, where can I go to get a general overview of how NRA high power competition works, besides the official rules page? More like a "view from someone who's there" kinda deal. Been reading a few threads here and on TFL, and service rifle competition looks cool. Looks like fun too. First order of business is to find some guys shooting a match and go take a look-see, I guess.
Now, the only AR I'll have has an A3 upper, as I understand that's considered a "match rifle," which I can deal with for now, as I'm working on getting the fundamentals of shooting an iron sighted rifle down first. Besides, I can always buy an A2 upper with whatever sights or barrel I'd need and be good to go for service rifle, yes?
I always ready to learn and listen, so fire away...
