Do any of you ever participate in "impromptu" matches?
This weekend, we had an absolute downpour, so we ended up modifying our course of fire a bit. Prone was deleted because the entire range was running at a depth of 2" or so.
It was a 50 round match on 100yd RCOF, but with 30 shots slow fire offhand on SR-1's, and two strings of 10 sitting rapid fire on SR-1's.
Ouch. Combined with the rain, it made for quite a challenge for guys like me who suck offhand.
Shooting next to a Master/High Master was humbling too!
They said they'd mail scores into the NRA. I don't know what they'll do when they see the course we fired....
