I searched for a Hirtenberger bullet, but I did not see any 190gr in my program database.

Sierra has a 190gr MK. May be you can try that out?

I found the information on the Hirtenberger web site http://www.hirtenberger.at/wiederlader/reloaders.html

It said that it use Sierra MK 190gr with 42.1 grain of Bofors RP3 powder, Max cartridge length 71.1mm (2.8inch).

I have no idea what the Bofors RP3 is. However, searching the web shown that RP3 burn rate is approximately the same as IMR4064, Rel 15, N140 (source http://www.gsgroup.co.za/burnrates.html)

I ran some number through QuickLoad, and it looks like 42.1gr of 4064, and N140 would push the pressure up to the MAX (60,000 PSI.) So I don't recommend it. However, 42.1gr of Rel15 has calculated pressure around 56K PSI.

Are the Reloader powders european...read somewhere that it works great in 6.5x55 becasue it is Euro...

Going to the Alliant site now...

The Bofors powder runs the 190 at 2395 fps, so below max loads of any of those powders should ive me about the same velocity

Which rifle is this for? Is this for your "tactical rifle" that you posted awhile back?

Good Luck with your load. If you don't mine, please let us know how it turned out.
