it did have to touch the bottle to do what it did so i would say a hit, but if i did that i would be pissed and keep going at it until i got it real good!
Perhaps, under combat philosophy. Had you hit it in the center, it would have bled out and died. Now it is only wounded and two other bottles will have to disengage in order to help this one get back to the rear.
i say outstanding shooting. great shot for squirrels. i am amazed the bottle did not leak and you salvaged your lemonaid. i am going to try a grazing shot next time i go shooting.
I wish I could shoot that good. It takes a lot of talent to hit a bottle at 200 yd. and just cut the outside of the plastic so that the liquid won't leak. In my country the riflemen used to hit the bark under a squirrel so they didn't destroy any meat. The concussion brought the squirrel down. They also used to tie a turkey down behind a log and shoot his head off. This was with flintlocks too.
