just for fun
would you call this a hit or a miss? (the mark on the side)

Was shot from 200m with a Weatherby Vanguard in 243 using pmc 100gr spitzers. first shot was a little high because I expected the bullet to drop more.

it did have to touch the bottle to do what it did so i would say a hit, but if i did that i would be pissed and keep going at it until i got it real good!

This is just like a foul ball in baseball... you hit it sure... but it didn't count for much. :)

PS: Sorry i got to remember when I am using the search function to not reply to things.

i say outstanding shooting. great shot for squirrels. i am amazed the bottle did not leak and you salvaged your lemonaid. i am going to try a grazing shot next time i go shooting.

I wish I could shoot that good. It takes a lot of talent to hit a bottle at 200 yd. and just cut the outside of the plastic so that the liquid won't leak. In my country the riflemen used to hit the bark under a squirrel so they didn't destroy any meat. The concussion brought the squirrel down. They also used to tie a turkey down behind a log and shoot his head off. This was with flintlocks too.

That's a great precision shot mate.:D
