range report.
went to a range to fire my newly acquired hk 45 usp. i had to used reloads that i got from the range since they only allow tmj. i'll try my normal fmj new ammo next time in a different range. i used 100 rounds.
i never fired a 45 before, but i fired sig 226, and colt phyton but this is a long time ago. the usp45 doesn't have too bad of recoil, shoots quit nice actually.
i had some trouble shooting first time as you can see from the paper target, it's all the way on the bottom! but some improvement after i got used to it.
a little difficulty shooting in DA, i guess i just need more practice. but overall it's good fun.
i noted that there are some chips on the slide, i'm not sure if this is from the brass or the actual Hostile Environment finish that wears off. I was hoping that the slide finish at least would hold, considering this is an $800 handgun. :banghead: dad's p226 didn't have this problem (alright, different caliber, but whatever)
but i guess if it works, that's okay.
i also used 2 promag magazines. no problems with loading or locking slide when its empty. it's cheap and it works as advertised.
