Hk-45

I saw this gun in a magazine I was reading. There was no article about it, just an advertisment. It is called an HK-45. It looks just like th P30 but you can clearly see that it says HK-45 on it and .45 on the chamber. There is nothing about this gun on their website so I was wondering if anyone knows anything about this gun.

It's HK's entry to the now "on hold indefinitely" new sidearm project for the army. Basically an amalgam of features from the USP and P30. For the HK45 compact, it's basically USPc meets P2000.

It was initially slated for release Q3 2007, but may have been pushed back for a Q4 2007 release time frame.

The HK-45 and HK-45C were H&Ks submissions for the now cancelled Joint Combat Pistol program, which was a RFP for a replacement to the current issue Beretta M-9.
