Anyone have any good resources that detail fieldstripping, maintenance and operations of the HK91/G3/PTR91 weapon system? Thanks.

This site has a very good sticky about disassembling the trigger pack.

Which I don't recommend doing, but I do recommend downloading for future use.

In addition to the above, I recommend a Jack Daniels or two before attempting the bolt disassembly/reassembly for the first time.

After the first one it's a snap but the first time can be quite frustrating

No matter how bad you might want to, DO NOT PUSH IN THE BOLT INTO THE CARRIER*. It will lock and could be a minor PITA to unlock the first time.

*I wonder how many people have done that the first time and went "oh crap..." when it didn't unlock just as easy? lol.

The answer is: everyone who has owned or taken apart a HK roller gun.

It's not that hard to unlock the bolt. Just depress the locking lever on the opposite side (I used a plastic punch) to lift the catch, then pull the bolt out.

YouTube used to have several videos on HK91/G3 takedown that helped me out the first time I tried to put a G3 clone back together.

I am a visual learner so watching the video content greatly helped me when in need.
