I have a lead on an HK 91 and I wanted to see what a reasonable price was. I checked on Guns America and was shocked to see prices ranging from 500 to well over $1000. What would you guys be willing to pay for an HK 91? I think the only accessories are 4 mags and condition is uncertain.

A genuine HK91 in reasonable condition is worth between $1500 and $2500 these days, depending on accessories and condition. If you can find one for under $2000, count yourself lucky. If you find one for under $1500, count yourself extremely lucky and buy the rifle at once.

HK91/G3 clones come in varying qualities and prices, but even the top-of-the-line clone (Greek contract receiver Springfield SAR-8) shouldn't cost much more than $1200-ish.

G3 clones with cast alloy receivers, and CETME rifles made from parts kits and US-made new receivers are significantly less than $1000.

Bah! It was an hk 91 being advertised for $500 in the local paper, but it was sold when I called a couple minutes ago. I wonder if it was the real thing...

$500? Gee, the seller must have bought it back in the late '70s or early '80s to let it go for that price. I bought one for $750 right after the Caliphornia Registration Scheme went into affect. It resides out of state. :(

Gawl Dang! A 91 for $500! I would have been all over that like big cities on gun manufacturer law suits.

I know it, HKSW. It would have been mine if it hadn't been sold yet. Hell, I would have offered him cash today for it!

Would have been a wonder deal of the decade, or atleast of the year, if it was an honest HK 91.

If it was a Spechul Weapons clone or Century clone, probably better that you let it go....
