HK Custom Combat Vs. HK USPc CT .45

I'm in the mood for a new HK in .45. Is there much difference between the Custom Combat and the new USP Compact CT? Any recommendations one way or the other. I'm looking for a range gun...probably won't ever carry it. I just want something accurate and high quality.

Any other .45s of comparable quality I should look at first? The only one I've kinda ruled out is the XD.

I've had my eye on a 9mm Custom - I really like the fullsize frame, the o-ring barrel & that LEM trigger.

The compact tactical has a threaded barrel. That is basically the only difference besides size.
