I just ordered my P7 from CDNN and I have one question I can't seem to find an answer to. I've read the P7 uses some type of fluting in the chamber that uses gasses to assist in the ejection of the case. One review stated this left "unique markings" on the brass but I have not found out if the brass I shoot from my P7 is going to be OK for reloading. I'm getting a reloading setup for Christmas and I've been saving up a lot of Winchester brass but I'll be bummed it my P7 chews up the brass so I can't reload it. Do you guys have idea about this?

I have a P7 PSP got it a couple of weeks ago from CDNN. Want to say you will be very happy. And to answer your question the fluting in the chamber reduces surface area and allows gas to go into the chamber to help float the brass out and eject it. I have heard the only purpose of the extractor on the P7 is to extract unspent rounds and that the pistol will work flawless without it, never tested it though. After examining my brass I found other than having lines on it and being dirty looking, it is in perfect shape and can be reloaded just fine.

I have not seen any problem witth reloading the brass from a PSP

I reloaded a PSP for years. The fluting MAY have reduced case life but not that I could measure.

Many things special about those P7s
jon_in_wv, I got the mid grade best deal, listed as very good to excellent. When I got the firearm it is excellent condition. Very little holster wear and perfect internal condition. Actually the only wear I could find was some on the grip, it almost looked like a lefty had my pistol. My slide has a very slight plum color in the right light, looks really good. I am still thinking about getting a do it yourself finish job since I purchased this as a shooter and plan on pounding a lot of rounds out of it. Put the pistol to paper at 15ft had no problem keeping a group of 5 touching. If I could afford it I would probably buy another, although need to work on getting some extra mags for it now. Either way enjoy your purchase.
I also picked up a one of the mid grade PSPs last fall. It shoots well and is priced right for a shooter. I would try to see if any local dealers have some since the variance in the grades is pretty wide. I have probably put a few hundred rounds through it. After inspecting some of the brass from the PSP, I have noticed a slight expansion of of the case near the extraction "ring" marks. Wondering any other have noticed this and is this ok? Is the "ring" around the case normal, too? The ringed area of the PSP brass measures from about .392 to .393. 9mm brass from other guns only measures max about .391 in the same area.

I know I've had a pile of 9mm pistols over the past 45 or so years of firearms ownership and while some of them were very accurate (the Walther P99c/AS comes to mind), NONE have the inherent accuracy of the HK P7, imo.
I bought an "A" grade CDNN HK P7 and it came NIB..
After shooting it I was so pleased I actually sold some other pistols I wasn't using to buy TWO more "A" grade HK P7's from CDNN. The last two came "as new", but had been fired.. I think. I also picked up 6 extra mags from CDNN while the "gettin' was good", as it seems the supply has dwindled quite a bit.
One of my P7's had more of the "plum" tint on the slide, but surprisingly, I like it.. Just makes it sorta unique.
I think you'll be well pleased with your new Lower Saxony Police HK P7.

I ordered the plum slide model from CDNN because it was listed as like new when the 589 models were good to excellent. I also was a pic on another board of the plum slide model and I really like the look of it. It should be here mid week next week. I can't wait to get it to the range.
I picked up my P7 from the dealer today. IT AWESOME!!!! It is brand spankin new. There is evidence it was test fired but it is flawless throughout with not a scratch on it. I'm taking it to the range tomorrow. I only have one mag but that will do for now. After my range session tomorrow I'll post a review and some detailed pics with comparisons to my trusty M&P 9C. If this thing shoots as good as it looks I think I'll be very, very happy with it.

I saw this gun in the store for $2,000. Do you mind telling us how much you paid for it from CDNN?
Check post #19. Also the one you saw in the store was most likely a P7M10 pr P7M13 which are the only ones that would draw a price even close to that. I looked on Auction Arms today and found a P7M8 for 1400 that came with three holsters and 6 magazines. Thats about 300 bucks worth of mags. It was a great deal. The P7M8s are usually over $1000. The P7 PSPs are approaching that price some places but you can still order them from distributors like CDNN for under 600 bucks.
